Learn how to make Ninja Creami Nutella ice cream for a delicious and special treat! This Nutella ice cream is made with yummy chocolate hazelnut spread, and it’s really easy to make.
If you love Nutella, you probably already know how many ways you can use it. You can spread it on toast, make cookies with it, add it to brownies, or even make ice cream with it! I enjoy trying new ice cream flavors in my Ninja Creami ice cream machine.
I’ve already made chocolate ice cream using chocolate milk and cocoa powder. This time, I made a chocolate hazelnut ice cream, and it turned out to be the easiest and tastiest Nutella ice cream.
This simple Nutella ice cream is one of the best Ninja Creami recipes because it’s both super easy and delicious.
Let's Make...!
Nutella Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami
The Ninja Creami ice cream machine works a bit differently than most ice cream makers you might be used to. If you’re not familiar with it, here’s how it works: You create an ice cream base and freeze it in a special Ninja Creami pint for about 24 hours.
Once it’s frozen solid, you put the pint into the machine, which works like a blender or food processor. Ninja’s Creamify technology uses a spinning "blade" (which isn’t sharp!) to shave the frozen mixture into a creamy treat.
The great thing about this machine is that you can make small batches, which lets you try lots of different flavors. Plus, you can easily adjust the ingredients to fit any dietary needs or preferences. While you can make custard-based ice creams with egg yolks by cooking the base, I prefer the simplicity of a no-cook, egg-free recipe.
Chocolate Hazelnut Spread Options for Ninja Creami
For this ice cream, I used Nutella brand spread.I know there are various other options available, but I haven’t tested them.
A generic version would probably work just as well, but I’m not sure about the more natural varieties that are thicker and pastier, which may result in a less creamy texture.
Those types also usually have less sugar, so you may need to make some adjustments to the recipe if you use something other than Nutella brand.
Making of Ninja Creami Nutella Ice Cream
If you’re a Nutella lover, this homemade Nutella ice cream is going to be your new favorite treat. The rich, smooth combination of chocolate hazelnut spread and creamy milk makes it incredibly delicious and so easy to prepare in the Ninja Creami machine.
The Ninja Creami works a bit differently than most ice cream makers. You don’t need to churn or cook a base with eggs. Instead, you simply freeze the base for about 24 hours and let the machine do all the work, shaving it into a silky, creamy texture. This method makes it possible to try different flavors in smaller batches, which is great for variety!
Ingredients
Here's a quick list of what you’ll need to make this Ninja Creami Nutella Ice Cream:
Cream cheese: Adds a touch of creaminess.
Chocolate hazelnut spread: Nutella or any similar spread.
Granulated sugar: Helps sweeten and balance the flavors.
Vanilla extract: A touch of vanilla enhances the chocolate flavor.
Whole milk: For a rich, smooth base.
Heavy cream: Adds extra creaminess to the ice cream.
Instructions
This Ninja Creami Nutella Ice Cream is very easy to make, just follow the instructions below.
Soften the Ingredients Begin by softening 2 tablespoons of cream cheese and ½ cup of Nutella in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds, just enough to make them easy to mix.
Add Sugar Stir in 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar until the mixture forms a thick paste.
Mix in the Liquids Combine ¾ cup of whole milk and ½ cup of heavy cream in a measuring cup. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the sugar mixture. Gradually whisk in the milk/cream mixture until smooth and the sugar has fully dissolved.
Freeze the Base Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint, making sure not to exceed the max fill line. Secure the lid and place it in the freezer on a level surface for at least 24 hours.
Process in the Ninja Creami After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer. Place it in the Ninja Creami machine, lock it in place, and press the "Ice Cream" button. The machine will shave the frozen mixture into a creamy texture.
Re-spin if Necessary If the ice cream is crumbly after the first spin, add a tablespoon of milk and press the "Re-spin" button to make it smoother. You can also re-spin without adding milk.
Optional Mix-ins For a fun twist, you can add mix-ins like crushed cookies or chopped nuts. Simply make a well in the center of the ice cream, add the mix-ins, and press the "Mix-in" button.
Enjoy! Scoop out your creamy, dreamy Nutella ice cream and savor every bite.
Tips
Get a creamier texture: If your ice cream is too crumbly after the first spin, a splash of milk can help smooth it out.
Experiment with flavors: Try adding a swirl of caramel or peanut butter to the base before freezing for extra flavor.
Thick spreads: If you're using a natural hazelnut spread that's thicker, warm it a bit longer or add a bit more milk to prevent it from becoming too dense.
Notes
This recipe makes about 1 pint of ice cream. Feel free to double it for larger batches.
If you’re using a different brand of chocolate hazelnut spread, keep in mind that some may be less sweet or thicker, which could affect the texture and flavor.
With just a few simple steps, you can enjoy a rich and velvety Nutella ice cream in no time! Perfect for an indulgent dessert or to share with fellow Nutella lovers. Share the simplest way to make Ninja Creami Nutella Ice Cream with your family and friends.
